I popped my cherry…blossom tree party!
Okay, so that’s a little innapropriate of a quote, but it’s funny. I had my first “ohanami” experience, where you go under the cherry blossom trees and drink and eat and socialize. It’s so cool. There are all these people that come together in the parks, and it’s a huge event. Bennie K and I went after our Bennie Becca rehearsal. It’s only my second day in Tokyo on this trip, and I’m SO happy that I was able to do ohanami. If I lived in Japan, I swear I would do it all the time in Spring! It’s such a lovely tradition. Luckily it was a warm night too. We didn’t have a blanket to sit on, so we had to sit on the very corner of a stranger’s tarp. It was kind of hilarious. It was actually one of the most peaceful and enjoyable
experiences I’ve ever had. I’m really big on traditions.
